How To Become An Infopreneur

How To Become An Infopreneur is easier than you think.

Find out how to convert the knowledge you already have into a lucrative online business. And in case you didn't realise .... you don't need a product or service to build an online business.

Being an infopreneur is a low risk way of starting an online business.

The way people look for information today has changed. Encyclopaedias are gathering dust on the shelves. Publications like the Yellow Pages are now online.

Why? Because people are going to the internet to find information. So why not give it to them? Convert your knowledge into in-demand content and create passive income in the process.

And the great thing is ... You don't have to invest large amounts of money in a product to get started. What you do need to invest in is your knowledge, time and perseverance.

Depending on your background, there may be a bit of a learning curve but it's not insurmountable. With the right help and support you will definitely succeed. I did it with zero knowledge and experience so I'm sure you can too.

How To Become An Infopreneur in 4 Easy Steps

  1. Decide On A Theme/Niche
  2. Sit down somewhere quiet and jot down the topics on everything you know and love. You'd be surprised at what you do know.

Include all the knowledge and skills that you've acquired in your professional life as well, as long as it's something you enjoy doing.

Think of the roles you play in your life such parent, grandparent, coach. You may be a very keen sportsperson.

Do you have knowledge and information someone may be seeking? Do you like to travel or have a hobby?

  3. Research The Viability of The Topic
  4. You can use this by researching the top or specific keywords.

Start with about 20 topics and then from those, choose 3 of your favourite topics and research their potential including keywords.

There are several research tools that you can use.

You can use tools such as Google Adwords and Market Samurai. Google Adwords has a free version which is OK to start with and a more advanced tool which you pay for. Market Samurai has a one-off cost which is very reasonable.

I'm lucky, the sitebuilder I use has everything built into the package and includes an excellent brainstorming tool.

  5. Develop And Publish Your Content
  6. Then you develop your content based on your research and keywords that you have identified. One page/article per topic and/or keyword.

Once you've developed your content you publish it on a website. I haven't gone into how to make a website here as I have a whole section on my site that deals with that.

  7. Monetize Your Site
  8. It's great to be able to share your knowledge with eveyone but let's face it, we all need to make a living as well. This part of my article on how to become an infopreneur is all about making sure that you do.

Monetizing is the term used to describe different strategies that you can use to make money from your site without having to invest in or produce a product.

There are several ways of doing this.

Google Adwords. When you register with Google, it uses its advanced technology to determine the content of each of your site's Web pages. It then delivers ads that are contextually relevant to your audience. For every ad clicked, you get paid. Pretty cool, hey?

Affiliate Marketing is another way of generating passive income from your website.

Basically you promote someone else's product on your site and you earn a commission on the sale.

Referral Fees. Earning income from referring people from your website is another good way to earn an income from your site. A good example here is in the travel industry for accommodation.

The above are only 3 ways of earning money from your website. There are many more ways which I will be discussing in other articles.

I hope that you can now see that learning how to become an infopreneur can really help you build a long-term online business just with the knowledge you already have.
